Juno knit zip

Love this jacket. I made 3. Excellent instruction and great fit and construction

Great fit , great look

I searched high and low for this pattern and was delighted to find it . Loved the fit and beautiful seam lines front and back, giving it a very flattering fit - sizing was spot on ! Easy directions . I opted not to add the pocket zippers to save me time but wish I had , as items aren’t secure with an open pocket . . Overall, it came out so professional looking - can’t wait to make more !

Nice pattern, could improve instructions

The instructions could have been clearer, so my toile had quite a few trial/error steps. However, I'm very happy with how the jacket turned out in the end. Do a toile so you are comfortable sewing the final jacket.

It was good although the pictures were sometimes difficult to follow
I added elastic inside the bottom hem because I was a good too loose there.

Juno Jacket

I love my jacket. it was a learning curve at times, i struggled with the zip pockets, but eventually got it worked out. I will make another one

Juno

At first, I was intimidated by this pattern, but if you follow the instructions one by one you cannot go wrong. With a little adjustment I made one Juno with softshell, one with scuba and one with stretch denim.

Juno Zip up jacket

I have now made three of these and think I’ve now perfected the fit. I went for the tall size because I’m 5’8” but on reflection, I think I should have gone with the regular size as I had to shorten it but about three inches to get the level I was happy with. I went for the sporty hem with the zipped front inseam pockets which were a bit of a challenge the first time but now I think I have it sussed!. I am extremely pleased with all three of my jackets, two made from polar fleece and one from boucle and they are all very wearable and warm! I would thoroughly recommend this pattern and will be looking at the rest of their patterns as the couple I have made so far have been excellent. I would say that you need a bit of experience with this pattern but it is well worth it if you persevere.

Juno jacket

Sinclair patterns are my absolute best because their petite size fits me perfectly. I made the Juno jacket with a grey blue sweatshirt fabric. The instructions are easy to follow . The jacket ls well fitting and lovely. I am very happy 🙂

Juno fleece zip jacket toile

I have not made a Sinclair pattern before, so made a toile of the Juno fleece zip jacket to test the fit from a remnant of microfleece and an old fleece jacket I was about to throw away. I cut the Petite fitting, size 12 grading down to size 10 at the hip. I am pleased with the fit, as I did not need to make any length alterations at all - a first in my experience! So thank you very much, Sinclair, for making a Petite version of your patterns available. The only fit change I would make the next time I make Juno is to add in a bit more bicep width in the sleeve, to allow for wearing over a long-sleeved thermal top underneath.

As I was making a toile, I omitted the zip guard. I also reduced the collar height by about 2cm. I cut the sporty length straight hem version, and the length is fine on me (I am 5 ft 2" tall) but I did find that as this pattern uses a bottom edge facing, this gave rise to too much bulk when made in fleece, especially as the facing in the sporty length cuts across the bottom of the pockets as well. Next time I will omit the facing and cut the backs and fronts longer to allow for a hem.

Pleased with the result

Jacket looks as it should. Graded between the 2 medium sizes according to my measurements. It fits as described, ie: you can wear it with a t-shirt under. I would go up a couple of sizes if I wanted it as more of a coat. Had to read the zipped pocket instructions a few times and zoom in on the pictures to fully understand them hence only 4 *.
