The shoulder gussets make this such a special looking and also well fitting top. The neck binding is a nice touch to neatly finish the seam on the inside. As always with Sinclair patterns the Adele pattern was well drafted and instructions very thorough and easy to follow.

I made this boatneck top last month and it was quick and easy to make with good instructions. The only thing I would do the next time is add a larger seam allowance to make it easier to sew in the shoulder inserts. I kept missing a layer.

This was a bit challenging for me, but the result is great. The neckline and sleeve cuffs were a little tricky. It's not perfect, but I'll definitely be making this top again.

I'm a bit obsessed with Sinclair's petite patterns at the moment. It is such a joy to find petite patterns that look contemporary and don't need to be altered vertically. I am 5' 1" and the proportions work really well for my height. I couldn't wait to make the Adele Boatneck top and it didn't disappoint. I've had so many positive comments on it and I will definitely be making more. Next time, I will stabilise the cuff ties though because they stretched a little bit when I sewed them. I ended up tying the ties slightly tighter than I would otherwise so it doesn't really show. I love the neckline and there are so many colour/fabric combinations that you can play with on this top - hours more fun to be had!

I searched for a perfect boatneck for a long time, and this is it! The shape of the neckline is just beautiful and because of the inserts bra straps don't peek out. Instructions are very clear even for a begginer and it goes together fast. The inserts and ties are a fun way to use scraps. I'm making a second Adele and it won't be the last!

I love the neckline on this top, especially with the insert that neatly covers the bra strap and I don’t feel like the neckline is going to fall off my shoulders. I made it in a French Terry so it was a light, yet warm top for Winter. Very easy make.

As per usual, this pattern is exceptionally well drafted. Everything goes together beautifully and this top creates a unique garment that you can have some fun with! Instructions are easy to follow and understand and the photos and diagrams are done beautifully.
I made the top with contrasting triangles at the shoulders and elbow length sleeve ties. Mine does not have the peplum. I’ll make more!

Very clear working instructions; love the boattop neck with the little triangles. I have made one with "the symmetrical self lined peplum with side splits". It does have a little weird bulb on the side (so no perfect transition from the body into the peplum). Not sure whether that's my sewing or due to the fact that you attach the peplum together before you add it to the body. But then; I'm the only one who knows this , nobody else has seen it. Next one is one without the peplum, already cut out, needs to be sewn together. Love the fit of this top.
