I bought this pattern to make a hoodie for my son in law. I found the instructions for the pockets to be very clear, but very careful and accurate cutting alsohelped me achieve a great finish on ths part of the hoodie. It turned out beautifully and he loves it

Great style and went together well. My husband has already requested another one in a different fabric. Love that there are the two sleeve options included based on whether or not you are doing the colour blocking. I also love the height options! This is the first pattern I've made for my husband where I didn't have to add length. For the pockets I did pocket bags rather than the 2 inner layers called for. Originally I was going to use a lighter wicking fabric as I've seen recommended by others who've made this, but decided it was too much fabric. I do wish some guidance had been included for marking the opening on the hood for the drawstring - either a marking on the pattern or some measurement recommendations (I even went back a checked the A0 file to see if it was on other sizes in the layers). I didn't bother including the drawstring on this one. But now that I have one made up, I can define a location that works for the size I'm making. It would be awesome to see an expansion pattern with a cowl neck option instead of the hood. Overall, it's a good make and I highly recommend - especially if you want to have some fun with colour-blocking.

I've had this pattern for almost a year now and I'm still finding new ways to mix and match the pattern pieces for custom sizes and color blocking options! One of the things I LOVE about Sinclair patterns is how patterns come with short, regular, and tall sizing. I never quite realized just how big and tall the men in my life were until I started making clothes for them. The look on their face is priceless when they put on a sweatshirt that fits their torso and larms (our affectionate name for long arms) without having to size up to something baggier just to accommodate height or width.
*Maker's tip* To decrease bulk I used moisture-wicking polyester t-shirt fabric for the inner 2 layers of the front pocket. Keeping your man cooler and comfortable more than makes up for what you might sacrifice in pocket strength. You will not be disappointed by the Apollo!

Have made this 2x and will be making more. I found pattern a bit on the small size and have had to go next size up for both my son and hubby. I also find Sinclair patterns are very hard to put together on the A4 size. Other companies are much easier. I take way more time putting them together than any other company. Having said that, they have more designs that I need than any other company.

I love the design of this garment. Instructions were quite clear and it fits perfectly.

My hubby wanted a Lotte but needed the shoulder and chest width of a pattern based on a male block so I successfully mashed Apollo with Lotte and he is one happy man!

Looks very masculine and versatile. I haven’t made it yet, but saw some nice makes and I would like to make it for family members ranging from 6’4” to 5’7.5”. I love that Sinclair let’s me do that. These are gifts that they will love.
