Sinclair Patterns S1080 Journey zip up zippered knit raglan hoodie for women with kangaroo, zippered or cargo pockets pdf sewing pattern

Featuring: relaxed at the shoulders and waist, semi fitted at the bust and hips (with the bottom band) classic raglan hoodie with a zipper. Offered with a scuba style high neck lined full hood, half hood (cowl) or standing collar. Sleeves are finished with fitted cuffs. Can have kangaroo pockets finished with bands, zippered pockets (with tabs) or cargo style patch pockets with flaps. The zipper is finished with a facing. With so many pocket options and different neckline finishes you can make so many different zippered hoodies/jackets. Although zippered front can be intimidating we made sure that our tutorial is very detailed and that even a beginner can complete this sewing project.

Our patterns come in extensive sizing range and each pattern offers Petite/Short, Regular and Tall options. All options included into the patterns.

We do not offer separate cup sizing for our knit patterns.

Cup sizes for different sizes you can find in the table below. The sizing letters refer to 'sewing cup size' which is measured as a difference between upper and full bust in inches. This cup sizing is different from bra cup sizing. As a general rule our patterns fit well majority of our customers without additional modifications.

A really great hoodie!

The possibilities for colour combinations in this pattern are really fantastic. I thought about it for a while and had a good look around at all the different possibilities and the end result turned out exactly as I had imagined.

The pattern itself is really great and the instructions are easy to follow. I'm really happy with my hoodie and am looking forward to using this pattern many more times.

Great and Versatile Pattern

I made this pattern already three times and I'll be making more in the future. i made it first for myself, using some sort of double knit, fully lined, with welt pockets and a high collar. My daughter loved it and wanted one for herself, so i made her two :) - one with fleece and one with the same fabric I used for mine. The fit is really comfortable, I use my zip up hoodie all the time these days.

Great pattern

I made one out of luxe Cuddle with cuddle 3 as cuddle as cuffs and band. It turned out great. I'm not a very experienced seamstress but the pattern and the photo tutorial made it pretty easy. Love how they help with options for finishing seams. Even finishing /binding seam where hood meets bodice. I've made some hoodies for grands that did not have this feature. Great pattern, thanks!

I have made 4 of these and have just cut out my 5th. The thing i like the most is the finishing around the zip and hood, which makes it look so professional. It fits really well too

Journey zip up hoodie

It took awhile to find a nice zip up hoodie pattern. This one is very good. It fits beautifully and it wasn’t too difficult to sew up. The zipper was the hardest part and I had to cut down a longer zipper. That created a bit of an uneven zipper at the neck but it still looks good to me. Use the exact size of zipper and you’ll avoid this problem.
