Featuring: fitted at the low/middle/high waist and hips shorties underwear designed for knit fabrics. Front and Back have center seam that is topstitched for more comfort. There are no side seams. These shorties feature high, medium and low rise and can be finished with elastic or waistband band. The shorties can be done using regular knit fabric (views A and B) or lace (view C).  Views A/B and View C come as separate pattern parts to accommodate different stretch factor for regular fabric/underwear lace. All options feature enclosed fully lined gusset. Gusset is stabilized with elastic (view C). Legs can be hemmed, finished with non slip or picot elastic or with regular bands (views A and B). View C is designed for lace with finished edge so the legs would not need additional finishes.

These shorties are similar to a regular cut underwear and work well with leggings, pants and shorts as well as with dresses/skirts or as a sleepwear.

The pattern offers the following options:
View A - High or medium rise shorties finished with regular hems and elastic at the waistband
View B - High or medium rise shorties finished with bands
View C - Lace Front/Back and lined gusset shorties with the gusset stabilized with elastic.

Cut options:
* Regular stretch fabric
* Stretch lace (fabric or trims) with finished edge (goes at the bottom of the hem)

Options for the rise:
Low / Medium / High rise with the waistline finished with enclosed braided / clear elastic or a waistline band (low and medium rise only).

Options for the leg finishes:
* Hemmed
* Stretch lace

Techniques to master: serging, topstitching, attaching lace trim, attaching picot elastic, sewing with lace. This pattern is designed to get professionally looking garment using a standard sewing machine.

Comes with a detailed tutorial with step by step instructions and photos.

DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern is a beginner (2/10)  level and moderately easy to sew.
First pair might take 1-2 hours, the following pairs take 20-30 minutes to finish (time may vary depending on your skills, equipment and supplies).

FABRIC

Regular cut (Views A and B): Light to medium weight, knit fabrics with at least 50% horizontal and 30-50% vertical stretch like Cotton Lycra, Stretch mesh, Nylon Lycra. Make sure that your fabric has good or excellent recovery - in this case your shorties will keep their shape and will not stretch through the day.

Lace cut (View C):

Stretch lace trim (low/medium waist option) - at least 20 cm / 8 in wide (US0-US8), 22.5 cm / 9 in wide (US10-U18), 25 cm / 10 in wide (US20-US30) equal to your hips measurement plus 25 cm / 10 in.
If making outer gusset with lace (view C) add 12-15 cm / 5-6 in

Stretch lace fabric (at least 30% horizontal and 10-20% vertical stretch) - same fabric requirements as for Views A and B (see above). Use lace pattern part for View C and use finished edge according to cutting list.

45-60" / 115-160 cm fabric width  - 0.45 m / 1/2 yards

Lining (gusset)

Light to medium weight fabrics with 4 way stretch like cotton jersey, cotton interlock and other fabrics with natural fibers. The fabric doesn't need to have good recovery.

45-60" / 115-160 cm fabric width  - 0.15 m / 6 inches
