This was my first Sinclair pattern, my first sports bra and my first projector pattern so plenty of new experiences.
Firstly, the pattern is very well conceived and drafted and the instructions were nice and clear. I made a toile to check the size (US8, petite, regular bust, racer back) and tweaked it a bit.
I am not new to bra making but this was my first sports bra so it included some techniques I have not used before, such as reinforcing every seam with elastic and lining with power mesh to give it good support. I would say that it is not a beginner's project as some areas can be quite challenging, for instance the baguette approach to the straps (fine if you keep your wits about you!) and dealing with the increasing thickness of some areas by the time you have several layers of fabric, mesh and elastic to sew through. My finished bra is serviceable rather than beautiful, but I've learnt enough to make the next one better.
Finally, as this was the first time I have used a projector for sewing I can say that it made my life very easy. Everything worked fine (as long as I used Adobe Reader to open it) and I did not need to do anything except turn off the layers I didn't want, project and cut!
Thank you, Sinclair Patterns
This henley top came beautifully. I was worried that it would be hard to sew the front band, but the instructions are excellent. I love the final result.
Loved making this garment, the tunic length but I did contrast yoke .
Pockets and sleeves interesting to make. Instructions really clear.
Clear pattern instructions and true to size, I made the full back version. I lengthened the bralette about 1.5cm as I always find this style slightly too short in the centre front. It came together easily and I made it with scuba so it also provides good support. I used 2" elastic for the band and it is comfortable for day wear but I'll use 1" in future as I became aware of the band later in the day. Very pleased, thanks.
I love this. I made the cedar for both my daughters. Haven't given them yet . They fit me great. Most import is to make sure the curve on the thumb is the right seam allowance. Mine was not quite as deep as it should have been and it's a little tight. These were a fast sew and directions were pretty good. Took me a minute to figure out what the sandwich meant but i got it.
Like the pattern. As yet not made up
Great pattern for a man’s t shirt. The raglan sleeves and height options make this a versatile top.
I made the tall version with long sleeves to be worn as a pyjama top and I am told it is very comfortable. It would look equally good as a daytime t shirt so that will probably be a future make.
I love the design options and fit of this bra. I'm enjoying trying out different fabrics for it. I love that I can wear it every day and also for sports.
This is an amazing pattern, so many possibilities, the Cardigan comes out beautiful!!! I love it. Thank you!!!
This is a great top! Good instructions, easy to follow. I will be wearing my sweater in a couple weekends. I’m crossing my fingers for a projector file update in the future.
Like all Sinclair patterns, this one is easy to sew and comes with great instructions. I really like how I can make the top or bottoms separate if I only want half of the romper.
This bra fits so well. I love the styling with all of the options. The H back is really cool! Pair this with the Pulse tank and you have an amazing set!
Love this pattern. I have made two trial swimsuits and both fit really well. As I have had little practice using elastic I found this difficult but it did get easier. I have bought fabric and fold over elastic to try for my next suit and am looking forward to making this.
This has become one of my favorite patterns. It's easy and a good way to use up scape fabric and is way cheaper than bying new ones. Can be made in 2 hours. I just kept making them. I've made close to 10 so far. Thank you for the pattern.
Very pleased with the Harper cardi.
Great instructions and fit.
